Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SEA Morris Enterprises (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Acceler8 mobile app and portal (the “Service”). Acceler8 is a business tool used by our staff, contractors, quality inspectors, and property-management customers to manage field service work.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, phone number, role, and the company/properties you are associated with. Accounts are created by SEA Morris Enterprises; you do not sign up publicly.
• Location — when a field worker checks in at a job, we record the device’s GPS location at that moment to confirm the work is being performed on site. We do not track your location in the background.
• Photos — photos you take or upload to document job progress, quality, completion, and additional scope.
• Work and payment records — work orders, schedules, inspection results, invoices, and (for contractors/inspectors) pay information you can view.
• Device & notification data — a push-notification token so we can send you job alerts, plus basic app/usage and diagnostic information.

How we use your information

• To operate the Service — assign, schedule, perform, inspect, and invoice field work.
• To verify that work is performed on site (the check-in location) and completed to standard (photos).
• To send you notifications about your jobs, approvals, and messages.
• To calculate and display pay to contractors and inspectors.
• To keep the Service secure and to comply with our legal and tax obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Acceler8, under contract and only as needed:

• Google Firebase — secure hosting, database, sign-in, and file storage.
• Resend — sending email (invoices, statements, notifications).
• Twilio — sending SMS / WhatsApp messages.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI review of job photos and text to check completion, quality, and authenticity.
• Intuit QuickBooks — invoicing and accounting.
• Google Maps — address lookup and mapping.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Permissions the app requests

• Camera / Photos — to take and attach job documentation photos.
• Location — only to record your position at job check-in.
• Notifications — to alert you about jobs, approvals, and messages.

You can change these permissions any time in your device settings.

Data retention & your choices

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to correct it by emailing privacy@seamorris.com.

Deleting your account

You can request deletion of your account directly in the app: open Profile → Delete My Account. This immediately disables your login, and we remove your personal information within 30 days. We may retain certain business records (such as completed work orders, invoices, and payment history) where required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes; those records are kept only as long as required and are no longer linked to an active account. You can also request deletion by emailing privacy@seamorris.com.

Security

We protect your information using industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls that limit data to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Children

Acceler8 is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
